- BA, Environmental Studies/Urban Design & Planning, University of Washington
Alec has always been excitedly fascinated by how cities develop, operate, and grow over time. He grew up a planning nerd creating cities in patches of dirt or on computer games, exploring maps, and drawing maps too! Growing up in Homedale, Idaho, he has seen much change in the Treasure Valley with its explosive growth along with it’s challenges. Combining education and experiences in Seattle and Amsterdam, he hopes to be an innovative asset in the planning community of the greater Treasure Valley area. While Alec enjoys planning, he really loves to escape the urban landscape to the plentiful mountains and waters that Idaho offers. As a native, he naturally enjoys camping, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, hammocking, and anything that is purely outside. Alec is also a plant fanatic and enjoys not only taking care of plants but talking about them too.
