Celeste started her career as a highway engineer, but a few years in, got the opportunity to work on the third runway at Salt Lake City International Airport. After her first taste of aviation, she never wanted to do another road project unless it was on an airport! After 25 years living and working on airports in the Puget Sound area and surrounding states, she got the opportunity to check a major item off her career bucket list: building a greenfield airport. Celeste and her fur ball family, Jonesy the cat and Susie the Scottie dog, moved to Williston, ND to work on the new Williston Basin International Airport (XWA). Fortunately, the airport opened on schedule and they only had to survive two (-40 F) North Dakota winters. After the North Dakota adventure, Celeste got the opportunity to join T-O and move back home to southern Idaho, near family and friends.
When not working on airports, Celeste enjoys spending time at the family log cabin in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, built by her grandparents. Celeste enjoys hiking in the Sawtooth Mountains and making quilts, often with aviation themes.
