Neha grew up in the hilly region of Nepal, growing up in hills surrounded by dense pine forest and memory of daily commute through them connected her to nature. After completing her undergraduate degree in Architecture and working on a firm for 3 years in Nepal, Neha finally found her niche, Designing and planning. She then completed her master’s in landscape architecture from University of Idaho. Her memories of hometown and passion towards the human and nature interconnection made her research focus on the study of urban green spaces based on user behavior as her thesis in her masters, which got published in ASLA Idaho/Montana chapters. She likes the idea of bringing social values into design of urban green spaces and moving Design focus towards it. She believes human communities need nature in and around them to thrive. She will keep on Designing managed natural spaces to connect people with urban nature.
