T-O Engineers was awarded its second five-year contract to provide engineering services at the Baker City Municipal Airport in Baker City, Oregon. Projects may include rehabilitating both of the airport’s aprons and runway, plus snow removal equipment acquisition and approach procedure improvements.
T-O Engineers was selected to be the Garfield Bay Water and Sewer District’s new District Engineer. Tasks may include Reuse Permit Renewal, Permit Compliance Assistance, On-Call Engineering Planning and Design Services, and Development Reviews.
In an industry dominated by men, being an engineer may not be the first thing that comes to mind when female students are asked what career path they want to take. According to the Congressional Joint Economic Committee only 14 percent of engineers are women.
John Anderson has quite a resume – for over 30 years he has managed and directed three airports including Pendleton Municipal, McCall Municipal and the Boise Airport. In 2012 Anderson joined T-O Engineers as an Airport Consultant providing client’s expertise in a variety of airport business planning. However, Anderson’s latest accomplishment may be one of his proudest; he is now a published author and expert in Backcountry Airstrips.
In celebration of DiscoverE Engineers Week (formerly known as National Engineers Week) T-O’s own Harvin Flores and JR Norvell presented in front of their peers and community members about the importance of Engineering. Not only do both Flores and Norvell share a passion for engineering but they also share the role of President and Interim President of both the Idaho Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE) Southwest and Northern Idaho Chapters.

Pilots now have a smooth runway to land or take off from the Cascade Airport following completion of a $1.9 million runway reconstruction project.

Each year the citizens of North Idaho are invited to nominate individual business and community leaders. Twenty-six professionals under the age of 40 were awarded this year at a celebration in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
