Johny is from Glenns Ferry, Idaho where he spent most of his days playing sports, fishing, and working in the agriculture industry from the age of 10 until he graduated high school and moved to Ontario, Oregon to attend Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) and study Natural Resources. After two years at TVCC, Johny switched to Civil Engineering and transferred to the University of Idaho where he graduated with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. Johny spent his first year out of school working as a geotechnical engineer in Las Vegas, Nevada and gained extensive experience in construction inspections and material testing. Inspections included pre-stress concrete foundations, reinforced concrete foundations, retaining walls, pavement sampling, soil sampling, and concrete sampling.
In October 2016, Johny started working with the Land Development department at our Meridian Office and has worked on a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. He has experience in storm drainage design, site grading, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, and construction observations. Johny also works with the Transportation and Hydraulic departments at T-O working on Idaho Transportation Department and Ada County Highway Department projects such as bridge replacements, hydraulic analysis, 404 permitting, and FEMA LOMRs/CLOMRs. Johny took and passed the Professional Engineering exam early and in June 2019 he will met the four years of engineering experience to become a Licensed Engineer. In his free time, Johny likes to fish, hunt, hike, camp, play his ukulele, draw, and spend as much time with his dog Colt McCoy.
