- BS, Mechanical Engineering, Washington State University
Steven became interested in engineering early in Highschool after discovering the Discovery channel. Growing up in a family of contractors he gained a healthy respect for the design process and finds enjoyment in a completed project. Upon graduating he attended Washington State University and pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Here is where he took steps to broaden his skills by taking hands on courses and joining clubs alongside his academic courses. Senior year he, with some classmates, and the design professor started a club with the goal of developing a modular fuel station for creating and providing hydrogen fuel to vehicles. Naturally this wasn’t ready in a year so after graduation he went into the food industry. Here he worked in a small team developing, drafting, and manufacturing custom equipment to aid in the processing and packaging of food products. Eventually he visited Boise, learned of the intricacies in different industries, and chanced upon T-O. With a little research, it did not take long for the excitement of a new environment and learning opportunities to take over. At TO, he is working in the wastewater department and loving every minute of it.
